6.2.1 Static analysis

  • We can apply equilibrium at each link (ie at each joint)
    • \(\displaystyle\sum_j F_{ij} = 0\)
    • \(\displaystyle\sum_j r_{ij} \times F_{ij} + \displaystyle\sum_k M_{ik} = 0\)
  • This results in 6 equations per link (6 DOF per link)
