- The mean is the average of a group of numbers.
- The median is the number that divides the sample into two
groups: half above and half below.
- The mode is the most common single number in a sample.
- The SD is the square root of the average squared deviation
from the mean. (The variance is the SD squared)
- The inter-quartile range is the relationship among the
minimum, median, and maximum.
- A histogram is a graphical representation of all the
numbers in a sample divided into bins
- The histogram can be considered an estimate of the probability
distribution function
